 Acupuncture is well-known for its therapeutic values and is increasingly employed in treating various disorders. Recent studies have supported its beneficial effect on assisted reproduction. Its principles are based on improving organ interaction, enhancing circulation and nourishing the whole body system. In assisted reproduction, acupuncture helps to strengthen the endocrine system and regulate the hormonal milieu. Acupuncture, carried out before and after embryo transfer, has been shown to reduce uterine contractions and improve blood circulation and is, therefore, beneficial to embryo implantation and successful pregnancy.
